Men watching football is... curing male loneliness?
27.10.2025 15:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is this a barometer of sorts? I don't recall College GameDay signs being overtly political.
25.10.2025 16:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"Potential" doing a lot of work there.
24.10.2025 21:17 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is most likely my hottest take and will probably disqualify me from ever even thinking about public office:
I think Halloween should be a holiday for kids.
People talking every day about the rising cost of living and healthcare issues and dude's like "but have you seen what our buildings look like?!".
24.10.2025 20:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What a fucking idiot.

Me to a cop: "I didn't run that red light, I'm just anti-traffic."
22.10.2025 22:39 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh, my man, the wealthy (and Republicans) have always 100% been for wealth distribution. Just not the good kind.
22.10.2025 00:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Drake "Hotline Bling" meme where the first image shows Drake in disgust at the idea of "Setting aside one's own personal beliefs regarding economic policy to support a member of the party win an important election" while the second image show's Drake in agreement with the idea "Setting aside one's own personal beliefs regarding Nazi tattoos to support a member of the party with an important election"
I don't meme often, but when I do, I do it poorly.
21.10.2025 23:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The fact that the amount of people who seemingly are asking us to be less rigid with our support for Platner feels equal to the amount of people who are refusing to support Mamdani is insane.
21.10.2025 23:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Imagine where the war with Australia would be without these tarrifs!
20.10.2025 16:09 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In my more dramatic moments of illness, I take being sick as a sign that there truly is no God.
18.10.2025 14:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dog put off trying to be a good person like a middleschooler and homework and is all, "oh shit, I'mma die soon--better start the assignment".
17.10.2025 18:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What a summary of the 1% mindset: How could I be bad/wrong if so many good things have happened to me?
17.10.2025 18:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0JD Vance about to whine about how the media needs to relax with the way 79 year old boys talk.

And for real, I wish more students (myself included) had exposure to Excel.
Imagine any of these dudes having the gall to talk about what it means to be an "alpha male".
14.10.2025 18:34 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 2It's becoming evergreen at this point: these dudes are fucking losers.
14.10.2025 18:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Reading a reddit post on tipping (big mistake, I know) and just pretty surprised at how few people take the stance of "yeah, it's a fucked up system but if I can swing it leaving a tip is just a good thing to do".
07.10.2025 22:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So, like, anyone else getting increasingly worried that all of society's moral beliefs are getting replaced at a much faster pace with the question of "how does this benefit me financially?"
07.10.2025 22:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Real "Hey, you should smile more" energy.
04.10.2025 14:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"You wouldn't know her, she goes to a different school."
03.10.2025 18:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Really hoping the conversation shifts to "healthcare *and*..."
As in, healthcare, and:
- something in writing saying recissions of appropriately funded money will cease
- the military will stay out of US cities unnecessarily
- FEMA is funded and staffed again
- the Epstein files are released
- etc
I get that healthcare is a massively important topic for a ton of people, but it's irksome when Schumer and Jeffries talk about it as if it's the only provision or concessions they're asking from Rs.
The nation is teetering on the edge of a cliff. Healthcare isn't enough.
Reporting from the front lines in Portland: just came back from a neighborhood block party. Brought cookies and ate hot dogs and oysters. Listened to music while I laughed with my neighbors.
We'll see if I make it through the night in this terrifying hellscape.
Are the jobs in the room with you right now?
19.09.2025 21:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An excerpt from the New York Times Cooking Newsletter: Itβs a funny thing for a cookbook writer to say, but according to Samin Nosrat, the most important thing when you have people over for dinner is not the dinner. Samin and a tight-knit group of her friends have been hosting Monday night dinners, which over the past four years have transformed from casual meals into a kind of ritual. Her takeaway? What stays with everyone is not the dishes served but the people who brought them, drawn together week after week to share food, conversation and comfort. She writes about this in her brilliant new cookbook, βGood Things,β which was recently excerpted in The New York Times. Thereβs something wonderfully radical about a cook as passionate and precise as Samin telling us to focus less on the dinner and more on the party.
What MIB wrote is being widely seen and I'd suggest that this excerpt from the NYT Cooking newsletter touches on the same ideas and I've really enjoyed reflecting on this: focus on friends, not food. (Which is pretty paradigm-shifting from a cooking newsletter!)
18.09.2025 18:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't think eliminating hate-filled spaces alone will result in less hate, necessarily. Because people will still want that community (and in some ways be angry that it was taken away). Better, inclusive, and kind spaces need to be created instead and people need to be directed to them.
