Yay!!! Keep at it!! I improved SO MUCH in the first few months I was embroidering, it was like night and day. And even more over the years since! much of embroidery isn't actually hard, just takes some patience until your muscle memory gets more even and smooth :)

I finished the game last night and I have been an emotional wreck since. i can't think about anything else, and my heart is now a puddle on the floor. this is the most beautiful game i've encountered in years and years... do yourself a favor and play it when you can

by far the biggest "breakthrough" i had was not actually about stitching at all, but how to transfer a pattern directly to fabric using my printer instead of more fiddly methods. All the stitching work just needs patience, not much particular skill! The Hierophant piece was my 5th embroidery ever!

I do want to note that while I took like 4 years to make an updated version of this piece, most of that improvement actually came in the following couple weeks. it was mostly just figuring out how to lay threads better to shade & using less strands. All these below pieces were made within 6 months!

I recently decided to redo my very first Dragon Age themed embroidery piece (and second embroidery ever), since my technique changed & improved so much since then! Here's a little side by side ♥️❤️♥️ I really perfected the stained glass look after that one

fell so so hard into Clair Obscur... i'm not finished yet but i'm obsessed now. beautiful story beautiful art beautiful game. i know i'm a little late to the party but strongly recommend playing it. it does so many things i love so well... this has restored my faith in game storytelling in many ways

most fandom artbooks/chapbooks/"zines" (though i dislike this term applied to what you see in fandom) are designed for digital artists/writing only. but there's lots of us doing other art too!

this would not be application based or anything super formal. just a free pdf where we can show off too :)

interest check: would any other physical/3d/traditional artists in the DA fandom be interested in making a little digital artbook together?
low key, wouldn't have to be "new" products. we'd just take some nice photos of our favorite pieces and get a couple pages each to show em off with a short bio

some detail photos--I also used tiny dots of pink watercolor on top of the light threads of the circles/"eyes" in the background to better mimic the card art. A pretty subtle detail, but I love how it came out!

Lucanis Dellamorte 💜🗡️ stained glass style embroidery! This 8inch hoop is my biggest piece in this style yet, and allowed for so many tiny details. Most of this piece is done in silk thread, with a few areas of satin & metallic finish floss 💟

Bit by bit... getting closer!!! Metallic threads next, and so many of them 😩 i don't time myself on these pieces (can't remember to do so + i kind of Don't Want To Know) but i'd guess this has been 60-70 hours for just the stitching so far
