My colleague Shiona & I will be starting work soon on an evidence review on neighbourhood health & the "rising risk" cohort. We'll share more shortly but in the meantime, if you have thoughts on what we should cover, please do share reflections/get in touch. 3/3 #NNHIP #Evidence

My role is helping make use of what we know from research, evaluation & analysis to inform design/implementation/scale. Right now, I'm mapping the "evidence ecosystem" so we can track new/emerging evidence. Working version: public.flourish.studio/visualisatio... - who am I missing? #NNHIP

Pleased to be working with Horizons & @strategyunit.bsky.social colleagues to support the National #NeighbourhoodHealth Implementation Programme, via the Intelligence Centre. We aim to strengthen use of evidence & analysis – helping coaches, teams & places to design, deliver & evaluate change. 1/3

Important report on an often overlooked service - especially pleased to see suggestion of peer review which IMHO is an effective & engaging way to address variation & learn collaboratively. And can be done pragmatically (www.midlandsandlancashirecsu.nhs.uk/case-studies...).

A great resource - in my experience, case studies can be incredibly useful but many are v superficial. The questions to ask when considering use of case studies (see table 4) will be especially helpful to anyone drawing on practice-derived evidence

Expectations: The hidden driver of healthcare demand
How well do we understand changing expectations and implications for the NHS?
Rising public expectations are described in the #10YearPlan as a major factor shaping healthcare of the future. But how are expectations changing? I argue we need a better handle on how expectations are changing:

A missing element in ‘shifting care’
Our Director, Peter Spilsbury, outlines the scale of the task when it comes to making ‘the shift from hospital to community’.
Interested in #CareCloserToHome or #NeighbourhoodHealth ? You'll want to take a look at this new report (Future Demand for Community Care) and blog from my @strategyunit.bsky.social colleagues Justine Wiltshire and Peter Spilsbury:

I'm a big fan of the the science festival and enjoyed hearing your reflections along with Akshat's and Daze's - whilst there's a LOT to be worried about, I felt buoyed by the idea of hope as an act of courage :-) thanks for the signed book, it's been promoted to top of the reading pile!
