New paper out with @pbeasleyhall.bsky.social in Australia Entomology.

In it, three new species of cave cricket are described in the genus ๐˜š๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜น, and a fourth is transferred across from ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜น.

Lake Nakaumi, which will be one of my primary field sites during my research fellowship.

During this fellowship I will be investigating the climate vulnerability of the Japanese basket clam (Corbicula japonica) in the coastal lakes: Shinji and Nakaumi (pictured), which are being affected by rising sea levels and increasing salinity.

I have just commenced a two-year Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. I am being hosted by Professor Hiroshi Yajima at the Estuary Research Centre, and Shimane University.
