Commission fines Delivery Hero and Glovo €329 million for participation in online food delivery cartel The Commission has fined Delivery Hero and Glovo, two major food delivery companies, a total of €329 million for participating in a cartel in the online food delivery sector.

3/3 This decision shows our commitment to act against all forms of cartels but in particular those directly affecting our citizens and workers.

2/3 They agreed to stop directly competing for workers. This is not good for workers, as it suppresses wages and reduces labour mobility.

They also exchanged insight market information and divided markets among each other.

Should be obvious that this should not be happening. Unfortunately, many stupid things are "normal" where migration and settlement are involved. But you'd hope Labour with their desire for an EU reset would want to avoid doing things that cause needless stress and friction in the relationship
