Not what he signed up for, probably expected to be the interim - probably the easiest and cleanest break up.

He didn't get sacked. He opted to leave.

What happened in 2024? Weird that we just pretend the 24 election didn't happen under the same rules.

100% agree that he could unite the fan base. But, I will believe he can push the board when I see it. I think that is why he won't be back. Harry Kane changed everything for Poch. He doesn't have that player at Spurs. Can he succeed without that type of talent? We've never seen it.

Pochettino's Tottenham exit is no surprise given his conduct and unhappiness News of Spurs firing their manager might seem shocking, but when you break down the breakdown in North London, you see how predictable it was.

One thing I never quite understood is why fans excused Poch ditching the squad on the travel home from the UCL loss, or excused him expressing a desire to ditch the club for a new job after the UCL final if they won? www.espn.com/soccer/story...

Well, that is because for the last 8 years, the club was building something sustainable, and they did not abandon it when times got tough, and the Manager was a part of that. They did not hire a Manager to manage differently from Frank. They hired someone to continue what Frank was a part of.

Just because he was not good at Spurs does not mean he is a bad Manager. He will continue and find clubs that fit him much better while we still try to figure out who we are. He would be a great fit for Palace, Fulham, or Bournemouth. He came to Spurs with fans & players already against him.

Frank was far from perfect, but there are plenty of clubs out there that will benefit from him. He is a good Manager, and was put into a no-win environment. He could go to Palace or Fulham and do very well while Spurs likely hire and fire more Managers pretending to fix their club-created problems.

This job was always his dream job. If they decide to move on from Arbeloa, it will be Poch or Emery. I still do not think he wants to return to Spurs. It is a legacy killer for him. No Harry or Son. Not the same Spurs. Nothing for him to accomplish here but diminish his reputation through failure.

He will thrive at Palace.

Would love to know if anyone has ever done any background on the medical side. We keep seeing players seeking external support. Something has to be going on at Spurs. How does our structure compare to others? Do we have as much staff? Do we pay as well? Are there cost saving measures taking place?

"My advice to them would be to try to bring the country together, and when you're representing the country, you're representing Democrats and Republicans." The Vice President said this about Olympic athletes. Looking forward to him reminding his boss that he represents both Democrats and Republicans

Sometimes the best people are not the best candidates. Most of AOC's campaign would be filled with having to combat irrational fears and make believe issues. She's amazing in Congress (or Senate).

13.02.2026 17:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Love AOC, but I want her fighting in Congress or on the Senate floor. To me, this nation will need someone who can lead not only the left - but the middle. There is a LOT of work that will need to be done to fix what was broken on purpose. The nation needs a leader for all. RN, Kelly/Beshear for me.

Totally agree. All the experts who didn't know who he was until today will fall in love with him if they beat Arsenal.

Agree with you. Every appointment since Poch seems to be viewed negatively by people who cannot get over Poch leaving. We are a club that needs to take a chance on a Manager and one where a Manager needs to take a chance on us. This is reality. Support him, and turn the page and see what happens.

13.02.2026 14:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Gonna be Igor. Looking forward to the fans freaking out, acting like we are a better destination for Managers than we are, the fans not backing the manager and then wondering why the club do not back the Manager. Rinse. Repeat.

13.02.2026 13:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I am fine with him, or Tudor. We are not in a position to be picky and we are not an attractive job right now. We are a destination now for someone to try and revive their own rep. I wish we could look at Motta but I suspect Spurs are not worth giving up his Juventus money.

He has been the odds-on favorite since around 4 pm Eastern. I think he will be the guy. He can also probably deal with a Carrick-like contract. Perform, and it will be permanent.

13.02.2026 12:06 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Ugh. Your last sentence is likely why Poch will be back.

Before Ange validated everything I have felt about the club, I was in favor of Poch returning just for the sake of having a feel good moment. But now, I kinda feel like bringing him back would just continue to mask the real issues at Spurs. It would allow the board to pretend they are listening.

He played well against Bayern right after the Spurs match. Other than that, Portsmouth and UCL versus Kairat Almaty. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

This is also why, I back the Managers for as long as I can. I do not have any negative views of TF. He did nothing wrong. He was who he has always been. The fault lies with the board. They continue to struggle with understanding the expectations of their consumers and put Mgrs in positions to fail.

12.02.2026 13:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

ENIC tricked the fans with transfer fees. It is why we are terrible at selling players. Transfer fees do not measure player quality. Wages do. We have big club expectations and our owners have mid-table ambition because there is less risk. Spurs have everything needed to be a big club, except intent
