I think you're right, WHW down to the right. Road past the Buchaille is straight, of course

08.02.2025 18:06 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Had a quick look at the sizing guide, what was your issue with it?
I'm around a 32 inch waist and the M says it covers 31-35 inch which I thought would fit me. Just wondering what your thoughts were on that?
Good shout! I'll try and find a physical shop, what will the kids think?!

29.01.2025 16:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I'll have a look, not sure I'm a fan of wearing a belt whilst running but the Salomon one might work for me. Thanks for the suggestion

29.01.2025 15:50 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 7 📌 0Heavily frosted trails and sunshine have to be my favourite running conditions, 7.5 miles with wee Maggie this morning. The road back after whatever it was I had before Christmas has been hard but feel like I'm turning a corner now

06.01.2025 16:49 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Everything I do builds towards big days out on the trails but midweek convenience of roads is a part of that. As well as trails and road I'd add track into the mix

14.12.2024 10:36 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So, cards on table. I have an issue with retching deep into races and I've found that if I stay on top of my hydration it seems to be much better. I can't link this to be the categorically but that's how it's felt to me. I'd love to banish the issue completely though
14.12.2024 10:35 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Last week I asked running folks about hydration and the vast majority said they run with some kind of fluid regime. For some it was timed sips, for others, an hourly volume.
Aside perhaps, from very chilly winter races, drinking to a regime may cause problems.
🧵 1/10
Or is it all relative to intensity of effort i.e working harder requires more carbs, also requires more liquid/salt intake? I tend to push myself in races and aim for 90g carb/hr and 500ml electrolyte drink/hr
13.12.2024 10:27 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That's a fantastic thread with some unbelievably helpful information. Can I ask, if you are drinking to thirst and possibly taking in less than needed how does that affect carbohydrate consumption? Wouldn't it lead to the body being unable to process the required amount of carbs? 1/2
13.12.2024 10:27 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It's not just an increase in mileage that sees me continue to improve, a good mix of easy miles and quality sessions as well as that amount of vert all adds up to a stronger runner. Big PBs in the Devil of the Highlands and half marathon distance were highlights. 2025 I tackle my first 100 mile race

They really are, hope you feel better soon too. Jammies and jumper on and a day watching running docs on YouTube, I'm running out though.
Back at it next week fingers crossed 😊
Absolutely love Puffins, and the noise they make.
Another day not running for me, struck down by covid or something doing a great impression of it.😥
When I hit 5000 followers I will post the exact start time of the 2025 Barkley Marathons. #BM100

06.12.2024 17:20 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It's evolved over time and experience. Where I drank calories tailwind then active root, I've now separated hydration and nutrition completely. My best performances have come when staying on top of hydration to allow better consumption of carbs. I'll try to stick to 500ml/hr of electrolyte mix
