If they want me to vote for them again (which is incredibly unlikely, all things considered) they need to do a lot better than ‘we are marginally less awful than the Tories and the fascists’.

Just let it be and see what happens. Maybe sometimes just get out the door and see what happens - motivation follows action and all that.
