Documents Should Tell the Truth. Mine Finally Does. I held my updated passport in my hands, and for the first time, it told the truth about my gender. It said: male. And suddenly, something in me exhaled.

The request for an independent oversight committee is a deeply reasonable request for transparency and accountability and must be granted.
Yesterday, RMEQ sent a letter to Lakewood and Jefferson County officials urging them to do the right thing.

Jax Gratton should be alive today. Nothing can be done to undo her death, but the Lakewood and Jefferson County officials have the responsibility to form an independent oversight committee to review the investigation process and ensure justice for Jax.

Over the weekend, a few of us from RMEQ got to spend some time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley (Longmont, CO) and had so much fun!

Happy International Non-binary People’s Day! Today and every day, we celebrate non-binary folks. Non-binary people have always been here, and always will be. 💛🤍💜🖤

We are so grateful for the support they have shown the queer movement here in Colorado and across the country. They will be deeply missed, and their words will continue to echo through our communities. May we carry forward Andrea’s courage, compassion, and fierce truth in all we do.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Andrea Gibson, a truth-teller, poet, and steadfast advocate for LGBTQ+ people. Andrea’s words have cracked many of us open and stitched us back together again.
