GE 50-ton switcher #3 and SW7 #8202 sit outside of the Southeastern Railway Museumโs display areas. Both engines are used for short train rides around the property.
Savannah & Atlanta 4-6-2 #750 (built by ALCO in 1910) is a star attraction of the museum, after enjoying a long career in regular passenger service and as part of the Southern Railway steam program.
A Miniature Train Company G-16 circles part of the museum grounds. This train (and a sister set) used to work at the Birmingham Zoo before coming to the museum.

The โDay Out With Thomasโ events are always a zoo, but generate a lot of revenue for the railroad! ๐

I donโt think there is one ๐ But there is a โNational Train Dayโ that is unofficially recognized here in the USA. Itโs the Saturday closest to May 10th, when the Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 1869.
