Every day I hear from so many absolute beasts of the animation industry who are out of work

I've met former animation artists having to move on from this industry, doing what they have to do to survive... it's sad

In the meantime, I'll get myself back to working on my own projects.

I always tell people that working on your own projects is like exercising- you know it's good for you, it feels good, but if you're not in a routine? It's SO hard to start. Once you're in the routine? You're good to go!

Still unemployed and looking for work.

He almost immediately asked the interviewer if the art was created by an American citizen or not, and she correctly asked "Why does that matter?"

Listening to a dummy on NPR talking about how art is not subjective (and that Conservatives taking art out of museums is just in good taste of knowing what good art is) and how good art is never political... let me see what Delacroix thinks of that...

What I hear when I see this- 1) He says he has friends... right. 2) These "friends" are so Beverly Hills poor that they don't live in gated compounds & don't valet their cars? Wow, slumming it with the dregs, Donny? 3) He's a traitor to the USA and to democracy as a whole.

We know he has dementia because he says "I have a friend..." sad.

Both my shops have "no laptop" policies to promote community, for people to speak to each other, or do activities other than stare at a screen. They are great spots!

Had an hour conversation at my coffee bar with a complete stranger about the modern life, art, the state of The Industry, connectivity with people of all walks of life and ages, leadership, worries, etc etc etc... wonderful time!! I love my Wednesday mornings at my coffee shops!

Two episodes into "The Studio" and golly, this is 1) very good 2) giving me panic attacks. haha

Look at them, always preaching State Rights only when it benefits the dismantling of things they dislike, otherwise they want an Un-American Totalitarian Federal Government controlling all aspects of life and demanding fealty from all. Get outta here, SteMi!

It feels like I'm right back at Comics Camp!!

It's obvious to me that to think of the Trump Administration as anything other than a threat to the democratic ideology of the United States is to give them time to achieve the coup. We must remain vigilant, engaged, and exercising our Constitutional Rights

Sending in Federal organizations & troops to raid/terrorize residents/businesses doesn't fall in line with the "State Rights" & "Less Federal Government" platform that Republicans are in favor of (but obviously only when it suits them)

The current Federal (Trump) Administration is bringing this unrest to the people, they are the ones causing the fear & violence... In the bigger picture, I believe they are attempting a coup of this nation by using "health & safety" as a ruse to deploy the military to take control of the populace.

I can't tell you what it meant to me as a Cuban(/Spanish)-American kid growing up in LA, constantly having my cultural background dismissed ("You speak Spanish, so you're Mexican."), to watch I Love Lucy, to see & HEAR someone who sounded like my parents... great listen.

I dove into Saunders' work last year and I have to say, he ruined me. I have tried to read other works of fiction and they all sound pedestrian to me? I can't do it, I stop other books a few pages in and go back to non-fiction or more Saunders, which is sharp and laugh out loud funny.

It's SO good!

I listened to Saunders' "The Barber's Unhappiness" a few months ago & the honorable Mr. Cliff & I spoke about it then. It's one of the best pieces of writing I've experienced in recent or distant memory. I WAS screaming the entire time! It's infuriatingly real, funny, & painful to read. It's great!

I suppose the lesson is that the World's Finest never goes out of style?.... And time flies when you're Superman?
