My daughter has started saying “MAMAMAMAMAMAMA” and while I think she’s just making noises and it probably doesn’t mean *me*, it still makes my lizard brain melt into a puddle of happy goo every time she does it. 🥹

Sometimes when I feel bummed about the news I imagine a far-in-the-future 4th grade textbook highlighting phrases like “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” and some future kid being annoyed at having to memorize so many stupid terms.

I’m out with a friend at a concert and tonight my husband vacillated between texting me photos/updates about our 6-month-old daughter and asking me if I would be willing to go in halfsies on a Nintendo Switch 2. Millenial parenting

Seriously! I don’t think I have ever once eaten a baked cookie that tasted as good as it did in dough-form!

I did the thing where I made a batch of cookie dough and froze individual-cookie-sized balls so that I can bake just 1 in the toaster oven fresh whenever I want, and what that has resulted in is me sneaking off to the freezer to eat a bite of a cookie dough ball every 15 minutes.

Yeah it sounds incredibly traumatic! I obviously don’t want there to be ANY plane crashes, but I’m horrified to think of the carnage if a huge commercial plane crashed in such a densely populated area!

My mom never talks politics with me, so it was an enormous surprise when I tried to FaceTime her randomly today and she couldn’t talk because she and my dad were on their way to a big lefty political rally 💪

There was a moment recently when my baby monitor was buffering and skipped a bunch of frames, so my daughter truly looked like an exorcist baby and I felt like I was living in Paranormal Activity.

My family has become regulars at a couple of Burbank local spots, and I have to say, it’s really the best. We get fist bumps when we sit down. Occasional free drinks. I love having real community.

I will accept the hilarious departure to culturally-Christian-Millenial-boy names over “GRNLA” or “PrTn” or whatever weird tech-adjacent names we were doing before.

From what I can tell from this 30 second ad, there may be different flavors, but they are all David. David is vast. He is varied. He cannot be contained to one profile.

I know we have way, way, WAY bigger fish to fry but tonight I have the energy to complain about the protein bar called David so that’s what I’m here to do.
