I did like how the first half of the game was standard DKC stuff, jungles, mines, etc, then suddenly it's like "Okay, here are levels in the clouds! Oh, now you're in a big city with skyscrapers and a blimp!"

By far the best part of the first DKL was the music, some really great original tunes that we never heard again.

Mermaid 2 - well, shells do have one advantage over starfish.
