Just spent an hour talking with my 83-year-old mother about her horror and sense of helplessness over what is happening in this country. I didn't have any easy comfort to give her. Just what I say to myself: There are many of us who get it. We have to organize, stick together, and stay focused.

Congrats to Lisa Murkowski on voting for a bill that she herself admitted was not ready in hopes that the House would change it. Now it’ll become law. She had the power to stop it, and instead chose to become complicit. That’s her legacy.
