Writing a series of devotional and decided to use LLMs as my assistants to search for bible references.

They ALL need a lot of work. Even GPT-5 is very insistent that various fictional chapters are good sources (Galatians 16 for example).

I think I am gaining time, but we shall see.

I could really use your help looking for Senior++ Technical Writer roles or intermediate++ Developer Relations roles. I'm looking to stay in Germany.

I'm also considering building up a freelance pipeline but realistically full time work makes my visa situation way easier.

Please RT for reach πŸ™‡β€β™€οΈ

I know, but it is still interesting.

I have an 8GB Radeon and a CPU/motherboard sat on my desk. Just need. Just need some RAM and I'll have PC just for LLMs πŸ˜‰

Note to self: Playing around with @dagger.io on a local LLM running on a 5 year old CPU is not optimal

Something to remember as we arrive at Pentecost.

The management thing is interesting. We are doing RTO (apart from me πŸ‘) and are very middle-management heavy because of very low turnover at that level. I am not sure what will happen to them, but the RTO may trim some fat I suppose.

I discovered there is definitely loophole in France. Getting a "titre de sΓ©jour" to prove you are a long-term resident is incredibly awkward.

Unless you cross a certain salary threshold, then they basically just tick all the boxes and hand it to you.

Been playing around with Qwen3 the last couple of days and it is generally pretty good. However, watching the output while it is "thinking" reveals it to be hilariously indecisive.

We spent years searching for that perfect Brittany longère (traditional stone farmhouse). Last year we bought our forever home: built in 2010.

Old houses suck in reality.

If your industry feels the need to seriously evaluate C-level security, perhaps you should be asking yourself "are we the baddies?"

This image contains a thread of tweets. The first tweet from "Ace Rbk" calls the hiring of junior programmers at $145k "dumb" because a $200/month ChatGPT AI could do the job. A subsequent tweet from "DHH" announces that 37signals is hiring a junior programmer with a salary of $145,849. Another user, "Ashish Darji," replies that programmers are still needed to guide and review AI-generated code. "Ace Rbk" then insists that "all of you programmers are already cooked." "Rory Koehler" challenges this by asking "Show us what you've built." Finally, "Ace Rbk" admits they haven't personally built anything but still believe programmers are "cooked."

Unpopular opinions for tonight:

- dynamodb is utterly insane
- golang is ridiculously verbose

Neither is realistically any better than Python plus RDBMS of choice for 99% of use cases
