On the way home from Tramlines, I popped into @pimoroni.com towers for a visit and showed off the Giant Unicorn Hat. A big thank you to Pimoroni for supporting me with this madness. I thought it was fitting to take some photos in the factory. Plus it was nice to catch up with Jon, Paul and crew

It is really fascinating how far @dot.net and @microsoft.com have pushed the ecosystem.

I built a remote controlled vehicle based on a @pimoroni.com kit and it just works (with help from Copilot).

A Pimoroni Inky Impression Spectra 7.3" e-paper display shows a vibrant daily schedule with "Montag," "School," "Club," "24°C" weather, "Mama's Birthday today!", "Dinner," and "Bedtime" in colored boxes. A plant in a terracotta pot sits atop the display.

I'm currently building a display for my 5-year-old so he has some clue what's happening.

He often asks what day it is, what's happening, what's for dinner, etc. I'm hoping the display will help give him some agency, as being 5 seems confusing. It'll also trick him into reading...

On a wooden tabletop are laid out: a Pimoroni Pico LiPo (2 XL W) in the centre of the frame, a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 to its left, and a small, yellow, home-grown courgette (zucchini) to its right. Pimoroni's Pico (a microcontroller development board) is about one and a half times the length of Raspberry Pi's Pico, and both Picos are smaller than the courgette.

The back of a Pimoroni Pico Display Pack 2.8", its sockets for Pico headers facing upward; the camera casts down upon it and a green Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W, but looks on at a slight angle. The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W board beside it has its headers facing similarly upwards, but rests tilted, its headers leaning towards the Display Pack sat around a centimetre away. Visible is the 'USB' indicator printed to the bottom of the Pico Display Pack, which informs the user as to how to orient their Pico while attaching it to the bottom, so the GPIO pins are connected properly and not in a flipped order. Both sit on a blue-ish section of an LTT desk pad, roughly towards the bottom centre of its design.

No way! I dreamt up almost exactly this in my sleep a few months ago, and have even bought all the bits to make it with (mainly for comic effect), but you've gone and got there first… and thank goodness for that. Utterly brilliant!
