What I Read in July 2025 July ended up being my best reading month of the year so far, with me reading a whopping 17 books somehow, despite also cramming two mini breaks into the month!

I finally got around to writing up my round up of July's books, although in fairness to me, there were 17 of them this time around! This month's featured authors are Kiley Roache, ‪Tom Cox (@dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social), Justin Evans, and Anthea Simmons (@apricotfox.bsky.social).

The Mid-Year Freak Out 2025 The Mid-Year Freak Out book tag has been a staple in the book community for years now, and it’s one I look forward to joining in with every summer.

@delilahsdawson.bsky.social I finished the audiobook of Ride or Die the other day (loved it!) and I had one question. Is Brie’s full name Briseis? She mentions it’s short for something unusual and given her sister’s name it feels like it fits but I never caught a reveal of what it actually was.

What I Read in May 2025 There’s not much in it, but May has ended up being my best reading month of the year so far, with 15 books read and the vast majority of those getting four-star or better ratings from me.

I just finished re-reading The Rising Storm and I need to say that it’s been 4 years since I first read it and I still haven’t forgiven @cavan.bsky.social for what happened at the end of that book. That man knows what he did. 😑😂😂😂

My February took an unexpected and annoying turn this afternoon. Tore my calf muscle while working out and will now be on these bad boys for about 4-6 weeks while it heals. Moral of the story: exercise is bad for your health folks!

I’m doing exactly that this year! This is my planned schedule, includes the adult, YA, and MG books plus the audio dramas and factors in this year’s scheduled releases.

I went on my 21st birthday and loved it, I’ve been hoping that one day they might bring it (or something similar) back.
