I honestly don't think the radio silence strategy is a bad one for Highguard, all things considered.

It has more of a chance than Concord did at this stage, anyway. Every new bit of info about that game fueled the flames. Highguard has avoided that and piqued the curiosity of quite a few folk.

The news about Inverse is awful. Shannon took a chance on me despite the fact I had one published piece to my name, and I’ll always be grateful for that. Solidarity with her and the Inverse gaming section. Another talented team gone, and for what?

Be it Aether, Dark Aether, Chaos, IWZ, WW2 Zombies, Exo-Zombies, DOA, Customs… now more than ever, may we all find comfort in Call of Duty Zombies.

There’s no question the live-service era of Call of Duty has resulted in compromises many of us despise. Yet, without being chained to Call of Duty, I’m not sure Zombies would still be here. It’s a paradox that’s incredibly fitting for the mode, and something I think about often.

I often say Zombies is antithetical to COD proper, and I stand by it. It should never have existed in the first place, so the fact it’s still going strong is testament to the perseverance of the Zombies Team and a community that has remained loyal, despite the trials and tribulations along the way.

It’s #115Day, which gives me an excuse to get sentimental about Call of Duty Zombies. Not that I need an excuse, of course, it’s part of my brand at this point.

There are many reasons why Call of Duty is in its current state. At the top of the list is Bobby Kotick and the culture he instilled: a new game every year, developer crunch and churn, and chasing profit over what was right for COD.

He set the fuse and shut the door behind him.

every time i’m reminded that this corner of games media has everything in common with gamergate, and they get to come down on whoever they like because they dress their harassment and abuse up in enough social justice rhetoric to make it sound justifiable.
