I'm gonna say "THIS" again, because the community aspect is so overlooked. "Talent" is anglo-individualistic, you and your God-given genes. Skill is the result of me and my mentors putting in the work to train me, all of my life experiences coalescing and the dialectic process of me teaching others.

In other words, the paint scheme has been schemed. While the brushwork is a bit rough here, the main aim was to figure out the colors etc., and that succeeded well enough. Next, I'll sew how well the scheme works on a Jabirean lion.

Tbh you can (and I will) make this argument in favour of varnishing. I will much rather make the finish choices myself by choosing the specific varnishes for specific parts rather than going by what the paint happens to have.
