But I think a huge part of the hype bubble still comes from how human its output seems, so it feels magical yet relateable to people.

My feeling of it right is it's useful but overhyped. Coding with AI is a skill, and there are clearly a lot of devs who are better at it and have a bigger budget to spend on tokens to experiment with it.

I started reading the latest book in Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series. So far, it’s everything ice cone to expect from his stories: cozy, witty, intriguing, and full of personality.

I think AI can never win this, because knowing a human wrote the prose gives it some inherent meaning. I think this can to some extent still exist in Ai-generated art, if it's somehow human-curated, but it's not the same.
