For the umpteenth time, Brian nails it. House Dem Leadership screwed up big last week. This isn't "I told ya so." There should be some real reflection within the Dem Caucus about the systemic error in judgement that dismissed all efforts aimed at getting them to make the right call last week.

Miller is also relying on making Americans believe that anyone in the US without proper docs is *definitionally* a criminal (vs having committed a misdemeanor) - with the corollary that immigration enforcement, which is civil law, properly needs all the trappings of criminal law in any situation.

They're also pretending (and want Americans to believe) that every undocumented immigrant is *definitionally* criminal, even though immigration enforcement all on its own is civil.
