The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

Instead of inktober, I propose just doing whatever creative project you really want to do and have been meaning to do. Don’t be afraid of people judging you or it not being good enough. As often as you’re able, set aside dedicated time to work on it like it’s school or a job. Goodluck.

I sometimes think it'll be our downfall. Nothing will ever get done. I had a neighbour email me the other day asking for help trying to stop the Dufferin bus rapid transit lane cuz I "care and write about the city". Didn't read my column in support of the lane in spring i guess. Endless opposition.
