I've never heard a podcast credit a reporter like this in its billboard moment. Putting on my producer hat, my first thought is just that she was too busy to do the work of hosting. But given that she is credited with writing and reporting the whole thing, and again, is all over the tape, it's odd.

Aside from the obvious issues with NYT's The Protocol, I find the framing of authorship on this podcast to be so bizarre.

It's almost as if the Times didn't want to put Azeen Ghorayshi's name front and center, even though this was clearly her project and she's all over the tape.
