An unknown composer posted his music online and scored the biggest indie game of the year In his first-ever video game soundtrack, Lorien Testard created the music for hit game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It's topped charts and racked up millions of streams.

You know that meme where someone says “anyway check out my Soundcloud” that’s exactly how Lorien Testard got the gig as composer for Clair Obscur Expedition 33! It’s his first big project and it’s standout. News story from @musophrenic.bsky.social and I

Developer of criticised rugby league video game says unhappy players 'should know better' After a launch mired by bugs, server outages and criticism around player likenesses, Rugby League 26 video game developer Ross Symons defends his company and says unhappy players "should know better".

It’s fair to say that Rugby League 26 has had a rough launch, but Ross Symons says the players criticising their likenesses the loudest actually didn’t get their faces scanned for the game. Interestingly the DGTO incentive was instrumental in making the game possible. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-08...

I did a *really* silly thing last week with the brilliant Orchestra Victoria, and premiered my newest work, Untitled Concerto for Orchestra and Honk, with myself as the soloist. Thanks to everyone who came along.

Is not enough to fool someone on the other end of a telephone and get them to unlock an account to access more? Asking for 5.7m of my friends.

How tech can help keep an eye on vulnerable family members With 1.5 million Australians caring for children and aging parents, here are some ways tech can help monitor vulnerable family members.

Thanks to @gdig.bsky.social I guested on ABC Perth radio this week!

I get very nervous before any media commitment, but radio is always good fun, and I think I did okay.

I ended up writing about the chat and how tech can help care for vulnerable family members: www.gadgetguy.com.au/tech-monitor...

“Sam. I’ve had a pizza delivered to your room. It’s a classic large American-style pizza, sliced into eighths. It’s the Giga Meat pizza from Domino’s, like the ones they used to eat in movies. Consuming a slice will replenish your Chiral energy and boost your stamina recovery for a limited time.”

An edited statement from ABC Listen

Battle (Guardian), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild by Manaka Kataoka takes out top spot in the Classic 100: Piano

The votes are in, and Battle (Guardian), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild by Manaka Kataoka has been voted Australia's favourite piano piece!

This is the first time the Battle (Guardian), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild by Manaka Kataoka has come first in a Classic 100, and Gianni Di Giovanni is a real one for pushing for it to win! This is me when spreading misinformation online!
