Yeah that's how I was going to attempt it, different refraction value, hand sculpted individual meshes etc but I want the light to come through and make this cool dappled light effect, thanks I will keep playing around with stuff

anyone have any good tips/ways to go about doing a broken or partially shattered/cracked glass material in Unreal? I'll make a tutorial when I eventually get it looking good but could do with some help if anyone has done it before!!

yeah it doesnt help that I dont really like discord, Im not active enough online really to keep up with it and end up just muting them/not really engaging

I dont really like posts getting lost within minutes of posting them

I think the thing missing from that though is meeting other people and finding others through it , not all your friends have the availability at the same time to do stuff really

yep Its the reason I dont really anymore, just such a huge loss

cant tell if its just because im older now so people in my circle are older but I dont really see much personal art anymore , maybe its just because we were all juniors trying to get better but its a shame social media isnt flooded with new interesting takes on 3d art as a medium as much anymore
