I hope the Virginia legislature gets enough votes to pass a gender affirming care shield law to hopefully help out the clinics that are continuing to provide care and haven’t caved to Trump!

Democrats are currently ahead in 63 (!!!) races in the Virginia House of Delegates.

If this holds, it would be one of the largest state legislature swings in the last 4 years.

Its an absolute bloodbath for anti-trans Republicans.

This is the ad that Terry Schilling and Republicans spent millions of dollars in Virginia and New Jersey trying to scare voters by painting trans people as mass shooters and terrorists.

This scaremongering demonization campaign just failed spectacularly.

57% of all ad spending by Republicans in the Virginia governors race was on anti trans ads. Just an incredibly mismanaged campaign. Anti-trans politics are a losing issue.

Republican leans on anti-trans rights ads in Virginia governor race Republican Winsome Earle-Sears has brought the culture war over trans rights to Richmond in the final days of the Virginia gubernatorial race.

Republicans took the wrong lesson from 2024. Trans issues simply don't affect people much to actually affect elections all that much. So they blew tens of millions on an issue most voters don't care about.

The WSJ is a conservative outlet with a history of publishing anti trans content. The fact that they would publish this is sadly not surprising

It’s not just anti trans stuff. Ending the filibuster would also usher in a national abortion ban and likely a national gay marriage ban if SCOTUS overturns Obergefell
