Breaking.
05.11.2025 03:47 β π 972 π 169 π¬ 9 π 9I hope the new Virginia AG, Jay Jones, brings Virginia into the lawsuits challenging Trumpβs anti trans policies like PFLAG v Trump!
05.11.2025 03:03 β π 21 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting that heβs not blaming it on trans people and immigrants
05.11.2025 03:17 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I hope the new Virginia AG, Jay Jones, brings Virginia into the lawsuits challenging Trumpβs anti trans policies like PFLAG v Trump!
05.11.2025 03:03 β π 21 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0I hope the Virginia legislature gets enough votes to pass a gender affirming care shield law to hopefully help out the clinics that are continuing to provide care and havenβt caved to Trump!
05.11.2025 02:51 β π 46 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Democrats are currently ahead in 63 (!!!) races in the Virginia House of Delegates.
If this holds, it would be one of the largest state legislature swings in the last 4 years.
Its an absolute bloodbath for anti-trans Republicans.
Zohran Mamdani wins!
He ran on an unabashedly pro-transgender platform, stood up for the most vulnerable, as so many have pushed for the Democratic Party to abandon trans people in order to win.
Major win for trans New Yorkers - he has vowed for intense resistance to anti-trans Trump policies.
This is the ad that Terry Schilling and Republicans spent millions of dollars in Virginia and New Jersey trying to scare voters by painting trans people as mass shooters and terrorists.
This scaremongering demonization campaign just failed spectacularly.
57% of all ad spending by Republicans in the Virginia governors race was on anti trans ads. Just an incredibly mismanaged campaign. Anti-trans politics are a losing issue.

Absolute bloodbath tonight for anti-trans Republicans.

Republicans took the wrong lesson from 2024. Trans issues simply don't affect people much to actually affect elections all that much. So they blew tens of millions on an issue most voters don't care about.

Are they intending to make being trans all trans immigrants ineligible just for being trans?
Why did you lay off your wonderful political staffers like Lex McMenamin? Their articles were great!

Every couple of years the media rediscovers gay Republicans (as if Andrew Sullivan hasn't been writing this same grievance slop for 30 years) but in case you're confused I don't recommend getting the pulse of the queer community from a straight woman in The Wall Street Journal
02.11.2025 22:32 β π 197 π 14 π¬ 1 π 0@erininthemorning.com @transvestigations.bsky.social please do a fact check of this entire article! Clearly itβs very misleading and people need to know!
02.11.2025 22:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0WSJ headline, over a torn LGBTQ BLM pride flag - the growing divide in the rainbow coalitoln
π¨ 1/ SCOOP We all know Pamela Paul is not a good journalist. But in her (poorly argued) WSJ screed on the alleged "growing divide" in LGBTQ circles abt trans rights, she reports ESPECIALLY badlyβincluding abt Jose Arango & his boyfriend who dumped him.
Paul didn't talk to the boyfriend.
I did.
Are they trying to say it was a trans person?π
02.11.2025 21:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah I know, but it seems like theyβve become even more right wing since Trump took office and are starting to become more overt about it.
02.11.2025 15:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The WSJ is a conservative outlet with a history of publishing anti trans content. The fact that they would publish this is sadly not surprising
02.11.2025 14:15 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm disappointed but not surprised that the WSJ is platforming Pamela Paul now. Theyβve become way more right wing recently.
02.11.2025 14:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Can you please do a fact check of this new article in the WSJ? It seems riddled with dangerous misinformation

01.11.2025 02:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs not just anti trans stuff. Ending the filibuster would also usher in a national abortion ban and likely a national gay marriage ban if SCOTUS overturns Obergefell
31.10.2025 18:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The blue dog coalition does not speak for the party as a whole and itβs highly unlikely that progressive Democrats who actually support trans rights will listen to their PAC. 2/2
31.10.2025 18:31 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It must be noted that WelcomePAC is closely affiliated with the blue dog coalition, a small group consisting of only 10 of the most conservative Democrats in Congress like Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez. All of their members have voted or spoken out against trans rights before. 1/2
