Most days I do a little slow writing, still sitting, and close listening. I often miss Zany Brainy dearly.

@pfrazee.com issue: (web) Clicking the modal backdrop does not close the modal.
This could be handled in a number of different ways, one is when the modal loses focus.
@pfrazee.com issue: a11y, escape doesn't close any modal (ie new post or edit profile). This means users would need to navigate via tabbing to the 'cancel' button.
12.04.2023 03:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@pfrazee.com issue: modal accessibility on web.
When a modal open (ie. New Post) aside from no visible focus state, tabbing with open modal will continue to tab through the content outside the modal.

@pfrazee.com
Issue: Focus state not set/no styles applied for accessibility if tabbing.
See widely but one example: Settings > right sidebar > link with the text "Send feedback" has accessibilityRole: "link" β
but no tabIndex={} β
see: https://github.com/necolas/react-native-web/issues/1266
Applied! β
Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
As I continue to make note of other things that seem off, how would be most helpful for me to bring them to the team's attention?
On it this minute!
Next observation: Placeholder text

One observation rose@blueskyweb.xyz @pfrazee.com
settings> storybook > darkmode
The text color for the sidebar: Home, Search, Notifications, etc. does not lighten making the text hardly visible.
Can I fix this for you as part of an assessment for a dev role to join your team?
how is it that you use this for the purpose of identifying?

Don't think we have, hello!
I recently realized that I used to think what I loved what learning when it seems to be a love of understanding and I think that is just the bee's knees.
Thank you in advance for creating that escape hatch in such an event

11.04.2023 21:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's a beautiful NYC spring-in-the-air kind of day today (at least that's true two hours north of the city).
My favorite time of the year in these parts (followed closely by fall in the air.)
I try to 'hold myself hostage' to doing things the cheap/free way for a little while to test whether or not I want to do the thing.
Then I "graduate" and allow myself to invest.
I've got to say, it fires me up and my excitement seems to amplify when I final do buy something.
Heard Tim Ferriss and Andrew Huberman talk about it which piqued my interest. Now I'm curious about it too.
This came up in a class I'm taking with @sager.bsky.social as an overlap between cardio and resistance
Instead of jumping right to buying things I'm loading up my backpack. You have a plan?
We get the chance
To start every day fresh
Because every day ends
What's less common
Is getting the chance to start on something
That extends.
This makes new relationships, moving to a new place, and this moment here exciting.
The possibility!
Let's realize that possibility.
How nice to be here, all beginners together.
