The far right in Canada is the politics of denialism: Evolution, climate science, LGBTQ identities, indigenous rights and title.
It's the weaponized rejection of reality.

Lots of people see all visible accommodations as granting undeserved or unnecessary special privileges. If you havenβt met any such people thatβs very nice for you. Iβm not sure why youβre so focused on that one word, but I assure you that there are people who get enraged over stuff like this.
16.11.2025 03:39 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I used to have a car that I would have to physically disconnect the battery every time I got home because if I didnβt it would be dead the next morning! I couldnβt afford to get it looked at to figure out what was draining it and it probably would have cost more than the junk value to fix anyway
15.11.2025 10:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just a prescriptivist who has picked a very silly hill to die on, I hope. I can sympathize with being bothered when a technical or clinical term develops a less precise colloquial definition but I donβt think this case is one worth fighting against.
14.11.2025 00:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Huge failure on the part of the parents. This kid is going to be using AI to fill the gaping emotional hole in his life because heβs not going to learn how to get along with other human beings. Imagine being ok with your kid being a person who is merely tolerable at best because at least heβs smart
13.11.2025 18:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A picket line is as good as a brick wall (excepting an insurmountable health/safety issue). Starbucks or otherwise.
13.11.2025 17:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Don't Buy Starbucks! At any location, today and beyond, while workers are on ULP strike!
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.
Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX
Today is Red Cup Day where customers get a free reusable (but flimsy) red cup.
13.11.2025 15:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Made this today for lunch. Preschooler-approved! Thank you!
12.11.2025 19:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs so short-sighted and Iβm mad for your kid. He needs the help now to develop the tools heβs going to need when the subject matter gets hard. I went from straight Aβs to failing everything in one term, as soon as homework got too involved to slap it out in the hallway the morning it was due
12.11.2025 10:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In contrast, attended cooking is the number one cause of home fries, the vastly superior alternative to home fires
10.11.2025 17:11 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0istg people like this think thereβs a Konami code for success as a creator and when they get told the key is hard work, luck, and toiling through years of rejection and obscurity they think theyβre being lied to and the REAL answer is being held back like the secret ingredient in gamgamβs cookies
09.11.2025 21:53 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's reasonable to assume that a calorie is a calorie until you read and discover the process is mindblowing.
My approach is: the alternatives aren't at all equivalent, BUT any amount of your milk your baby gets is a gift only you could give them, and it doesn't have to be zero sum all or nothing.
Got one today (my first DM lol) and reported the message and the account. Gone a few hours later. Looked at Clearsky and it had been blocked already by dozens of folks

06.11.2025 04:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For the curious but lazy, theyβre implementing rounding. Canada already does this country-wide since getting rid of the penny.
05.11.2025 19:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Egregiously so
04.11.2025 22:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh, you mean the dad of the kid who played Watson in Young Sherlock Holmes?
03.11.2025 04:11 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ugh, I canβt with full-ass adults getting mad about kids having harmless fun. Theyβre almost to a person the same ones who whine about kids not spending enough time outside
02.11.2025 20:15 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And if being sorry is contingent on people accepting your apology then maybe youβre not actually sorry at all, youβre just trying to duck the consequences

01.11.2025 17:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just checked mine and it does. I will go back to ignoring it in favour of my nice comfy typo-ridden mess
01.11.2025 17:44 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm sorry for my stupid question, but if I have a setup with a dock where I physically swap out the work and personal laptop (theyβre never both connected), that is a risk? I thought it was safe.
01.11.2025 05:08 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But I feel for the folks who live in the popular spots. Theyβre not all βaffluentβ, one of them really just got a rep for being low on car traffic and house-dense with sidewalks, so itβs popular for families with smaller kids. But theyβre having to spend hundreds if they want to participate fully
01.11.2025 03:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The kids who do bother to trick or treat at my door are getting handfuls of candy because I donβt want this stuff sitting in my house.
01.11.2025 02:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There are a couple neighbourhoods that are known to be βgoodβ for trick or treating and those neighbourhoods still report hundreds of kids so itβs not like everyoneβs skipping the outdoor stuff in favour of the mall or other hosted events.
01.11.2025 02:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Man, I live in a family neighbourhood and when we moved here I thought Halloween was going to be a busy night but weβve only had 14 kids come by. Apparently the rule of doing your own neighbourhood before heading to other ones is out of date?
01.11.2025 02:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm so tired of everything bagels that are just poppy seed with like a token couple flakes of crusty-ass onion. I feel like that Gary Oldman βeveryoneβ gif.
