There's a reason I turned them off this morning rather than listening like I usually do.

I am declaring that I have heard "I need a pencil" or some variation thereof more than any other sentence in my life. This includes "I love you" from my wife which I probably hear about a dozen times a day.

Agents, I think I know the answer, but I'm going to ask - when a querymanager form says "send 10 pages," is it ok to go a couple over so that they get the complete chapter, or does it mean "wherever the tenth page is, cut it there"?

I was in the middle of writing a funny fantasy novel. It was going well - I had about 15K words. Then the election happened, and I have not felt funny for almost two weeks now. Kind of feel like the funny is gone for a while. Anyone else feeling that way?
