Okay, our character can jump a maximum of 8 blocks, so we'll have an 8 block jump to the first platform

And then we'll have an 8 block gap between the next platform

Dad, you don't have to make every jump the maximum possible distance the character is capable of.

The twist is that Monster Island is actually a peninsula.

Monster Island (2025) feels like a Roger Corman-esque mashup of Predator and Enemy Mine, but with fish monsters.

It takes itself a bit too seriously given how silly the effects are and is convinced the audience is way more emotionally invested by the end than I actually was, but overall I dug it.
