22.03.2025 13:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Give Hungary the boot already. It's high time for them to get to the FO phase already.
28.02.2025 21:20 β π 20 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0Nah, but it's quite a close second at the moment
28.02.2025 21:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I have never seen as much solidarity among us Europeans as today. And it makes me proud.
28.02.2025 21:07 β π 3012 π 282 π¬ 22 π 17Trump thinks he humiliated Zelensky. He humiliated the United States of America. And he made the world a much more dangerous place. Mob boss foreign policy will not work. The Trump-Putin axis fully came out of the closet today.

28.02.2025 18:42 β π 16 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0On the day of russian invasion of Ukraine, 3 years ago, a big march of support is going on in Tbilisi.
It started from the Ukrainian embassy and is moving towards the daily protest location infront of the parliament.
On the way, people stopped at the Taras Shevchenko statue.

"False witness, executioner" β Protesters brought mirrors to the rally on Rustaveli Avenue for police officers to look at themselves.

Day 79
π·Basti Mgaloblishvili, Makuna Gochiashvili
The problem with that is, that all sizable parties donβt really seem to have a clear political compass. It mostly feels like plain populism, packaged in different flavours.
Plus, the right vs left culture war was imported before a defined right/left could even be formedβ¦
1. Possibility growing by the day, as illegitimate govt. is constricting almost completely freedom of expression and assembly.
2. Yes
3. Keeping up pressure by not recognising GD, sanctions, more sanctions - the rest is our mess to clean up.
Georgia's self-proclaimed government, the Georgian Dream Party, is illegitimate.
In a resolution, MEPs called on the international community to join the boycott of the self-proclaimed authorities, who they accuse of eroding the countryβs democracy & cracking down on dissents.
Day 78 - and the protests are still going strong.
Major protests are planned on the 15th and the 18th.
Georgia is being Stalinized. If it becomes a second Belarus, that would be a huge and unaffordable blow to Europe.

Sorry for my french but these fuckers are all in.
Hans is a great person and friend of Georgia, who if youβd know him? never even harmed a fly.
Marches wonβt solve anything - the only way forward seems to be the violent one.
Today, more than ever before, dozens of protesters and some journalists among them are getting calls or visits from the police notifying them about being fined "for blocking road" on Rustaveli. The amount of fine is USD 1,770 now.

For Georgian Dream, "traditional values" means that stupid men can live out their violent fantasies.
We see this in action practically every day.
Savages. This is what we are up against in Georgia.
Do not mistake our struggle for your average hand holding demonstration in some safe European country.
Thanks Hans ππΌ
Unfortunately our paths didnβt cross today. Though I met a guy hauling his bike across the landbridge at the mall, but that definitely wasnβt you!
Look at her charging back in.
Absolutely badass.
A legion of those shitless scared masked militia got nothing on just this one lady.
After over 14km, the march from the city entrance finally made it to Rustaveli Avenue, which was already closed down by other protesters shortly before.
Iβm proud of my people. Itβs not an easy fight - as those that are worth fighting arenβt. But we have shown grit and tenacity. And weβll prevail!
Several kilometers further, along Tbilisis main river, arrests were renewed. One of the arrested is former director of Georgiaβs National Bank, Giorgi Kadagidze.

On the way, the city court building was heavily fortified.
02.02.2025 21:28 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As the long march began, spirits remained high, with songs, shouts and whistles (here the traditional anti-GD hymn).
With us were kids and elderly.
Police were following along, not letting us fully close the highway.
As the police pushed back and their numbers became overwhelming, protesters decided to move to the parallel highway, which leads towards the city center.
02.02.2025 21:28 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As the situation started to heat up even more, a black SUV arrived, carrying internationally sanctioned GD βstrongmanβ Zviad Kharazishvili.
Scuffles broke out soon and arrests intensified.
Footage emerged later with him personally beating arrested and cuffed prosters. So much for βstrongββ¦
Among the first to be arrested was opposition leader Nika Melia, who had his clothes torn off in the process
02.02.2025 21:28 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As more and more protesters arrived and pushing further ahead, the OMON style special forces got their orders and started to arrest people.
