That's PTSD. I have it too because of my perimenopause cramps that are so bad I have to sometimes leave work (which is hard, because I'm a teacher). Pain that cripples you is no joke. You are kind of a saint on this earth and it kills me that you hjave this pain while also helping so many animals.

My god...this is exactly like my uncle Tim. He has suffered so much, and it still lingers. I'm so sorry. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I am very grateful that they developed a vaccine...sad it wasn't in time to protect my mom, you and my uncle. Feels like shingles manifests so much worse than chicken pox.

He got his Shingles more than a year ago and still has some weird hearing loss and pain through the left side of his head. It's wild. Shingles sucks so much. I got the vaccine early so fingers crossed. My mom has had super painful shingles 3 times! Ick.

Oh, I know you know what it's like. But yeah...my physical therapist husband sometimes pushes me to do things that aren't comfortable but are good for the long term. I trust you implicitly understand what your dogs are communicating. And OH MY GOD...my uncle had shingles manifest exactly like you.

Since I've gotten this herniated disc, I cry often at these videos. Dogs are so brave. There is a whole lot of nerve pain that goes along with spinal injuries (sometimes) and dogs never complain. Not me...I complain constantly.

For a dog I've never met, I sure do love this dude. Thanks for sharing him with us.

It was very embarrassing at the vet's office when I was in the lobby and everybody could hear him screaming all the way in the back. I'm sure people thought some poor dog was undergoing some form of tortuous surgery...not just a routine nail filing.

Oh, well...my beloved schnauzer Joey was an absolute menace for toenail trims. I lived with 2 amazing groomers, and it took both of them rolling him up in a carpet with his paws sticking out either end. And the screaming. OH MY GOD! So dramatic.

My fingers are crossed! I never underestimate the nervous system and its ability to screw up signals from your brain to your extremities (6 months with a herniated disc will do that), but she really seems like she might regain sensation. 🤞

Look at this angel go! She stands so well. I figure it's not impossible that she'll start walking one day too (though even if she never walks on all four legs, she's still a perfect angel).

I feel like it would be bigger news if there was a time when they were NOT taken to jail. Zola will grow out of it, but Feta and the Nugget will be criminal old ladies.

This is so encouraging. With her particular injuries, she seems to be the most likely of all of your dogs to regain function in those rear legs. My fingers are crossed that her nervous system will get back online with time to heal.

100%. Was she a We Rate Dogs dog? I'm trying to remember my journey to The Herd House. I know it was through LPP, but I can't remember why I found her. It was either Matt or Gideon (I Pet that Dog...he's probably 25 now).
