The average public school in the U.S. has 500 students. ICE is currently detaining over 7 schools' worth of children, many of whom are being held in inhumane conditions.

Children do not belong in government detention.

I went on Fox News yesterday morning to explain that while the focus is on Minneapolis, Trump is trampling rights everywhere. All over the country, thousands of LEGAL immigrants, including little kids, are being disappeared.

That's what happens in Putin's Russia, not America.

ICE accused of overseeing "unfolding humanitarian crisis" at Texas detention center - Salon.com A recent death at Fort Bliss in Texas has renewed criticism of the ICE holding facility.

People held at the Fort Bliss immigration detention camp in Texas report guards have crushed their testicles, beaten them, broken their teeth, and more.

We're demanding an end to this inhumane treatment and to immigration detention at Fort Bliss for good.

We should not fund DHS without serious reform. We could return CBP to border. We could require warrants for immigration arrests. We could beef up training and require identification.

The list of possible reforms is long. What's unacceptable is the current lawless status quo.
