100%. Many of the stories of ICE detaining people with green cards could have happened under any admin.

That’s not true for the pro-Palestinian stuff, of course, and the Trump admin is doing a lot of new stuff too… but a lot of this just isn’t novel. It’s the system operation as intended.

You should listen to The Echo Chamber, not just the episode I'm on, the entire podcast. It will make you feel less crazy about having a moral compass and progressive politics.

what often helps most in such situations is to have one or more people you love whom you can connect with regularly irl.

i see some somebodies who abandoned twitter starting to move back over because they realize that's where the action is, still. this applies less to bluemaga libs & more to out-of-the-box type thinkers.. most of whom would no more call twitter "X" than we'd call the gulf of mexico "gulf of america"

you're misinterpreting why many of us stay on twitter-including somebodies not just nobodies like me.there are vibrant communities there that simply don't exist on this pallid, milquetoast alternative,including eloquent palestinian voices many from within gaza. those who aren't there are missing out

Quick update: I have suddenly been struck down by a severe flare of my autoinflammatory condition (Yao Syndrome), & am currently out of commission. To be quite honest, I am struggling to manage this as my health insurer (Anthem) is refusing to cover medically necessary meds.
