…is a bridge too far. That goes beyond simple error, straight into the realm of "rank incompetence coupled with refusal to take responsibility." That is not a recipe for success.

Yeah, as per my last post, I've decided to say goodbye to BlueSky. Mistakes happen, and having been a mod in the past I'm more forgiving than most of them - but the fact they told me to contact an email address that does not exist, and then refused to acknowledge it when I repeatedly asked about it…

It's been fun, but holy shit the leadership of this place sucks.

When you wrongfully suspend a user and the email address you give them for questions or appeals does not even exist? That's not garden variety incompetence.

Yeah, I'm just about to jump ship. I've been in moderation positions before, so I'm generally going to extend way more grace than the average user. But this is pushing it.

And now they're spamming my inbox with the same message over and over.

NGL, after this experience, I'm leaning more and more toward going back to Reddit, or trying to create a Mastodon account again.

This was resolved, but completely unacceptable.

Bottom line is this.

Unfortunately, it looks like OP also hasn’t been active in nearly a year. I hope they’re okay, but it seems unlikely they’re going to respond or do anything to clarify the labeler’s defunctness.

The labeler is apparently no longer taking reports either. Trying to report something to the labeler results in an error message that I’ve never seen before.

Honestly knowing some people are that stupid as to use their IRL phone number just... Kinda makes me upset I have scruples, because that people can get away with this shit while so many of the rest of us do things the legit way is just. Wow.

Depression isn't just "oh I'm sad." It's a genuine sickness where you feel tired, low-energy, and like you can't enjoy anything and should give up on everything. Including, at times, life.

This is me too. I have a chosen name I use in many places, but I also use my legal birth name in most "professional" settings, etc.
