He spent the next 15 min accusing the doctor and nurses of a conspiracy against him, and then suddenly stopped, opened his eyes, & never mentioned it again.

When I wake up from anesthesia, I'm talking before I'm fully awake, but usually it's me apologizing for talking. Like I am zzzzzz one second and apologizing for all the talking I was not doing the next.

My son wakes up voice first as well, but it's blaming everyone for how awful he feels.

The last numbers I saw for the USA were like 85% chance of people with freckles and no red hair to carry the mutation, and people with no freckles and no red hair were like 18% chance. The better you react to the sun the less likely to have it, but being able to actually tan doesn't rule it out.

My father had dark brown hair with a reddish tinge to it, and some of the women on his side had red hair as well, so we think I got it from him. He also has opioid resistance, though in his case it's never been genetically tested & was thought to be due to the treatment for his chronic pain issues.

Fun fact my Dr shared with me when I got a genetic screening back showing the MC1R mutation despite my brunette hair: since multiple genes control hair color, you can have the redhead mutation but may not actually be redheaded.
