There's never a good time to quit smoking, but why did I pick the most stressful month of work possible?

SO MUCH this. I occasionally deliver a newsletter (mostly) about culture for pleasure. It will never pay my bills or even put a dent in my record collecting. Sometimes it's nice to have a void to scream into after work. But I mostly just feel guilty about the lack of attention I can give it.

90% of corporate comms work is awaiting and implementing feedback from "leaders" who can't communicate effectively. I wish I could warn my 20-year-old self this is what I'll do with my journalism degree when I'm 40.
