Senior confession: cell phone concert footage does nothing for me. I got so burnt out on artists doing live streams during the pandemic. I don’t understand the draw to listen to a clip of horrible audio from the wobbly perspective of a fan. It shocks me that there’s any appetite for that content.

I’m hopeful Indy CD adding a venue will help BR. I live in midtown. So that would be great. I’ve enjoyed the Turntable shows I’ve seen

Agree. Chicago is lucky to have the independent venues come together on Salt Shed. I’m anxious to see what happens with the Clowes expansion at Butler. I believe it will include a ~1K cap indoor space. But I’m assuming Ticketmaster will have its claws in it. BU athletics uses it for tickets.

As someone who has been saying and writing “Indy is next” for 15 years, I have misguided thoughts on what infrastructure and support it would take to make that leap a reality. But it’s nice to see someone other than a local say it.

Same. I just find it funny in retrospect. POTUS blatantly operates outside the constitution while half the country accepts it. But a “Yeeeaaah!” was a bridge too far.
