And if there's any doubt Bovino is a showman who likes to send a message... know that he could've left the courthouse via an underground garage.

Instead he waded into the angry crowd, stood on door frame & gave officers directions on how to follow him... down a one way street.

A judge summoned Border Patrol boss Greg Bovino to her courtroom to answer questions about use of force on crowds.

It was more of a lecture than an interrogation.

She is also requiring by Friday lists of all people arrested for non-immigration related offenses, reports and video supporting that arrest.

Judge directly asks Bovino if he has a body worn camera?

"I have not yet received a body worn camera nor the training," Bovino answers.

Judge tells Bovino to get a BWC by Friday.

"The camera is your friend. If someone is throwing a rock at your head, the camera will catch it"

It's clear that videos shared by the public of immigration enforcement operations have seriously swayed the judge about everything from agents' conduct to wearing unique identifiers.

"They must tell people what they are going to do before they do it so people have the opportunity to comply. That's what I meant and that's not what I've seen in any of these videos."
