Any inertia thoughts here?
Pretty much a chemical plant that also generates heat and power at this point.

Idk, I definitely believe in the death by 1000 cuts theory. You're just not going back on the first 990 now
Hot rocks make solar panel go brrrr
18.03.2025 00:35 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Eh, I'd say it's "other policy". Take away FGD, SCR, cooling water, MATS, and ash handling and you're pretty much left with half a combined cycle and a bulldozer.
We're never going back, but the boiling water part could still be cheap.
Another mature offshore wind project is facing financial write-downs and a potential yearslong delay in the wake of the Trump administrationβs moves to shut the sector down. #energyskyππ‘

The whole point of pilot projects is to learn, they say

Itβs like gold to an LDC, never enough.

So counterpoint, pipelines are fully subscribed. You canβt just say I want transco Z6 2025. Like itβs owned. Fuck off.
04.12.2024 01:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You can buy a ten day peaking supply. You cannot buy ten day peaking transport.
Like thatβs the gap here. I can buy gas and sell gas. I cannot buy transport and sell transport. Itβs either valuable and I need it, or itβs worthless.
Tens of millions a year?
But a bcf of gas at $75/dt wipes that out in a day.
To my knowledge, the first widespread use of neural networks was in boiler optimization software in the late 80s and early 90s.
Yet we call utilities dinosaurs when itβs essentially baby ChatGPT.
