I dropped out of the Cubs because it clashed with The Incredible Hulk on the telly. I work for The Irish Times.

Posted about Irish retailers move to delist McGregor-linked products both here and on X…… the wildly different responses on the two platforms is hugely instructive.

I saw this quote from Bob Dylan today and it resonated. "Saw Nick Cave in Paris recently at the Accor Arena and I was really struck by that song Joy where he sings β€œWe’ve all had too much sorrow, now it the time for joy.” I was thinking to myself, yeah that’s about right."

Workers at the Washington Post deserve a living wage! The Washington Post says it supports writers. So why won't it pay its workers a living wage? We've been bargaining with the Washington Post for over a year. Journalists, copy editors, designers, mark...

Today I’m walking off the job with hundreds of my Washington Post colleagues for 24 hours to demand a fair contract. It's the postguild's first strike in 48 years.

The first four are up… and I have just started rewatching it from series one. It is not as good as it was and Niles is a big loss but it can still be sharp and smart and funny. And just as the first iteration was, it is kind of timeless.

I’ve only watched two too! The first one was too rushed and had to introduce a lot of new characters but the second one was much better and had some very sharp dialogue. I just like how it was so familiar, albeit with a plot turned on its head.

This is a public service announcement. The Frasier Reboot is excellent. It’s like taking an old clown suit, unworn for a decade, out of the closet and finding it still fits and is still funny. You’d miss Niles for sure but it’s still great to have it back.
