I’m a fan of a real book but in this instance BorrowBox might have been a better option, if only I’d known.

😂 I requested it as they didn’t have it at my library and you can give a preference on hardback or paperback but I’m not usually bothered. This one is massive! Even has one of those ribbon bookmarks.

Latest library book, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. Loving it, just not so much loving that it’s a massive hardback copy.

Yes. Well, I didn’t get rained on. Managed to get out in the best part of the day, the sun was shining when I set off but we have had rain today. Just for a change.

Day off

Have watched 1st 2 episodes and am a little bit disappointed that all episodes of Small Prophets are available. With no weekly episode release to stop me I know I am just going to binge watch the rest of this lovely, lovely series at the earliest opportunity and it will all be over far too quickly.

Muddy at the park today but fetch is life and Gwen couldn’t care less. Until the hose pipe comes out when we get home then I think she cares a little bit. For a dog who loves water she is surprisingly reluctant when it comes to getting cleaned up.

May have overtrained a little this week, brain has also been working hard at drumming rehearsal today. Feeling tired and a bit ‘off’. Don’t know what Gwen’s excuse is (old age?) but we can be found napping in between rehydrating this evening 🥱☕️

If it makes you feel any better mine cost twice that! But I’ve had to wait so long to get it fixed I’m just really glad to have it back and on the road.

Got my repaired car back

To not have a car would be an inconvenience and I would manage but living where I do with basic and unreliable public transport it gives me so much freedom.

Todays walk 🥾🐾

Clutch slipping since Xmas so haven’t been able to drive anywhere for fear of breakdown/further damage but couldn’t get car booked into garage until this coming Wednesday! Went to drop it off this afternoon and of course had the inevitable flat battery. Work colleague to the rescue. 😮‍💨

Actually rode a bike outdoors today. Just a few miles on my mountain bike calling on a friend for coffee. This is not her house, it is Conishead Priory 😁
