If you feel overwhelmed, like me today, take a step back until you are just whelmed. For me, it’s this rec league swim meet my kid is at. Helping me reset my brain. Getting back to whelmed.
They want us overwhelmed. Unable to move forward. That’s not for us. That’s not you.

Friendly reminder to Milwaukee parents that the Central Library has a coffee shop bookstore where they sell the withdrawn books and your kid can get one free book to keep every visit. And you can get coffee and browse the tabletop art books. I mean…you do you but it really turned my morning around.

The parent who loudly eats with his mouth open while waiting for his kid at ballet is back and I forgot my headphones at home. My giant noise cancelling ear cans. That I will wear proudly just to not hear this. Y’all it makes my skin CRAWL.

Not trying to make my first post a giant downer…but as I sit in the hospital with my Dad I cannot help but think of the worst things about aging is also watching your parents age and in some cases, get ill. Just tears my heart out a little bit.
