Did some data backups today and looked through some of my old master’s thesis images for the first time in a while. Species are long-tailed weasel, hispid pocket mouse, southern plains woodrat, and northern grasshopper mouse.

Figured I’d get a first post out of the way. This is a freshly reintroduced black-footed ferret that I photographed in South Dakota. They are obligate predators of prairie dogs and were once thought extinct.
