How to inoculate yourself (and others) against viral misinformation Author Sander van Linden explains how to build immunity against misinformation, similar to vaccines that protect against pathogens.

The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists was founded by Einstein. Today in the face of mounting attacks on the scientific enterprise, I'm honored to have done a Q&A about how to vaccinate each other against the increasing deluge of misinformation. @thebulletin.org

'Dangerous' and 'ineffective' labels on menus don't reduce how many calories people eat, study finds Mandatory calorie labels on food menus were introduced by the government in 2022. Now, a study suggests they may not be effective at reducing the amount of calories people eat.

Yโ€™day, eating disorder charity Beat told me calorie labelling on menus should be scrapped after new research from Liverpool Uni showed the policy made no difference to how many calories people ate.

It is damaging for people recovering from eating disorders though.
