A c-suite person once confessed to me over breakfast that they--in their own words--"failed upwards" and weren't really sure how they got to where they were. I think I was intended to take it as a moment of vulnerability or humility but all it did was make me furious.

The "using AI to generate concept art early in the process to quickly iterate ideas" thing is so absurd to me because like. You don't know what concept art is. You don't know what concept art *does*.

As a writer also in a field with a very high exec/top brass presence in the creative process, I can guarantee you that in 99% of cases, if the writing feels like you're repetitively being spoon fed plot and exposition, it's a directive from on high and not what the writer would do if left alone.
