If you have a large bolt that fits in the threads, or a large object you can put through a die with the same thread pitch can make a big bolt that catches the outside threads of the magneto and pushes against the shaft and acts as your puller

Something Red.

The Yamaha Radian is an in-betweener. It has the 4 cyl high revving architecture of a modern sport bike while being air-cooled and upright. Pleasant to drive, but hard to tune.

Partially functional, able to go through the motions, work/ social obligations. But any creative energy feels zapped, maybe that is partly the deep freeze we were stuck in. I know it's important to stay curious & creative right now but finding the energy to do so is tough

A contac breaker ignition point nested on the outside of the bikes dynamo which charges the battery and acts as a starter

Nice, may just be dirty/pitted. Checking the Condenser (capacitor) is good will help too.

Love the way those little Yamahas did their electrics. This AT3 has some of the mlst beautiful electromechanical systems I've seen on a bike!

Those are cool! Does it have a contact breaker point for ignition or is that one electronic?

I picked up a Green Filter to do trichromes with and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites for B&W photography as well. Yellow is more common and I'll have to try that out sometime too, but for now I'm enjoying this look.

I do that for a living! Umm personally while a heavily mechanical bike like a sportster or cb350 is tantalizing to learn on I'd suggest starting with something newer/small with electeonic ignition and start by rebuilding carbs. Then do a top end rebuild on like a thumper. Dm me to talk restoration!

This is one of my favorite photos recently. I love the sharpness, contrast, and how it's a stylized frame from such a quotidian experience.

The bent pole supporting the roof overhang is a nice touch.

It is wild to me, in dc people are doing that this after this snowstorm and I've never seen it before. Even after 2016 snow of 2ft. Especially leaving the chair while you're gone on a multiple-day vacation boggles my mind. I'm not totally sure what it says, but I don't think it's good

That's gorgeous. I'm curious about your DSLR scanning setup when you get it rolling. I really want to jump into that type of scanning, but I know even less about digital cameras than I know about photography. I think it will work better for slides cause I can put more light through them

Yeah the Honda Shadow carbs are also like that/are possibly the same ones. I love downdrafts but that is slightly concerning. Though I think the orifice is large enough I've always been able to clean it out with brake clean and vapor blasting.

A payphone in front of a drycleaners accumulates snow along with the rest of the neighborhood. People are out walking in the falling snow

I'd like to hang up on this weather!

Love walking by this payphone in Mount Pleasant. There's so much cool electromechanical tech that used to make these work I think about whenever I see one.
