Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it.

Failed 14-15. Every single Republican voted to allow Trump to take the jet.

The Trump administration has a pattern of erasing women from public service. Ask yourself why.

1/2 Researchers at Clemson University uncovered a MAGA-aligned AI bot networkβ€”over 400 fake accounts auto-praising Trump officials like RFK Jr. & Karoline Leavitt. But cracks are showing.

When Epstein files came up, the bots contradicted themselves, exposing the whole charade.

I work in a library. When you come in with a faint memory of a cover and a whisper of a plot, I don’t panicβ€”I hunt.
Because library magic is real.
But so is the work behind it. And I take pride in being the kind of wizard who earns it.

Now many times are we gonna have to dance this dance before these people learn the goddam steps.

"AI" reproduces, exacerbates, and iterates the biases and values it was trained on. Those biases and values are, largely, very bad. There for the reproductions will most often be as bad and worse.

Extremely this. Second of all, they learned quickly under the Articles of Confederation that an inadequate power to tax meant an inherently weak government. The Constitution gave the central government the ability to tax precisely for the purpose of creating a more robust central state.

Reporters keep reporting on β€œinvestigations” of universities like UVA and GMU. Are there really investigations? Or are government officials just sending letters announcing investigations? What is being investigated? Based on what evidence? I don’t think any of these investigations are real.

Since 2020 libraries have been active in teaching undergrads how to "fight fake news", verify information, first using CRAAP , and then moving to SIFT to be more inline with fact checkers (lateral reading). The issue I think is this has led to confusion, naive students (even some librarians) (1)
