The one store at our local shops (only one thankfully, though they did put it in the month before the regs re location close to schools - it is within 200m of TWO schools!) still has clear glass frontage, breaking the new regs! Would it be wrong to pop down & paint said windows overnight?

For those following along…. Turns out he lived in Whanganui, ran a cafe and got shafted by a builder. My parents helped him in a work capacity to resolve. So he went and cooked them a lovely dinner at their house one day to say thanks. Hence having met my cat!

Me: I grew up there….
(1 min of conversation later)
Him: I know your cats name that your parents are looking after whilst you are overseas.

I always remember a pub having one of those, and under the “twist both ways” thingy, someone had written in pen “like we did last summer”

The view over the entrance to Wellington Harbour just after 2pm. Barrett Reef is in the middle of shot. Baring head (in the mist in the distance) was recording 85knots ~160kmph gusts at the time!

Literally a week ago, I dug out my 29yo Yamaha 5 disc player from the garage & my son & I got it working again. The belt the moved the tray had failed. Replaced with a random rubber band & works a treat. He is loving all my old CDs. I am amazed by sound quality over Spotify.

Anything you are doing that tucking an 18yo under your wing to help and learn so he could help out??

I can assure you it WAS my leaf blower. I love to do it every year to give people a smile as they walk up the pathway. 👍🏼😉

I so want to setup a hidden camera and see how many people “play the game”!!!

Public footpath (below my house) with greenery on either side and a white fence on the right. A thick blanket of bright red pohutukawa flower bits coats the pathway, but some dork (me!) has used a leaf blower to create a fun zig zag pathway through it.

I hate it when you leaf blower does not work properly. Or maybe it was user error?!? 🤔😉🤭

Xmas has come early in our household. 2 of the most lovely balls of floof. Such lovely personalities and wasters of time.
