We’re currently watching DS5, that sci fi show about a space station. It has a dignified yet irascible commander with a second in command with series lesbian vibes and a tough, no-nonsense security officer. There’s space gods and government intrigue and a big war and even a lounge singer.

Because it apparently bears repetition:

You do not make fun of people for things like their weight, height, voice, baldness, ancestry, etc.

Even if they are horrible people. That is not a get out of jail free card.

Pick something else. Preferably in the actions or thoughts zone.

This Leonard Cohen quote hit me hard:

I feel like this is specifically about Hearts in Atlantis. Which like, how were they going to include the Crimson King/Dark Tower references without creating the Stephen King Cinematic Universe? And yet, it still felt like it missed a lot of the purpose of the story.

Every fucking philosophy and movement can and will be used for control and harm, and anarchism isn’t free from that, as ironic as that might sound.

I’ve been lied to and betrayed by other anarchists. I’ve been told that being trans is bougie identity politics by other anarchists. I’ve been abused and manipulated by other anarchists. So while my political philosophy is closest to anarchism I have a lot of trouble trusting other anarchists.

I was in a cult run by and for anarchists who used theory to control, manipulate, and harm people. While I still cleave closest to anarchism politically I do not consider calling yourself an anarchist to mean that you’re a good or trustworthy person or that you give a shit about other people.

I’m still trying to find my voice as an astrologer and figure out what and how I want to write about wrt it. I know things being functional is important to me (hey Virgo) so I am inclined to write more about what people can do with the astrology rather than how it will affect people.

This New Moon has rough astrology, but there is one stand-out: a big old trine happening between multiple parts of the sky. The vibes are great for coordinating and supporting others who are likewise oppressed, perfect timing for Trans Day of Remembrance.

They will absolutely swoop in and groom casual left audiences who don't understand the difference between antisemitism and anti-Zionism.

They understand that the casually disaffected-- the folks half-listening and not organized-- are easy targets with no firm loyalties.

Acquaint yourself with the major antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Don't automatically discount it when left Jews tell you that you've done a dogwhistle, even if you didn't intend it.
