oatchi's carry/swallow indicator in the trailer makes me wonder if there will be extra quality of life and tweaks, but im not gonna let my expectations get too high.

fierce's enemy tweaks and field limit has me hopeful that enemy interactions and type management will be more interesting.

i also hope multitasking won't be as tedious since squads can only be divided into two in 4, unlike 3 where you split squads into three and have 20 pikmin each.

it may be absurd that the easiest pikmin game is getting an easy mode, but it seems to be for onboarding and ease of photo mode.

it's kinda neat how pikmin 4 is finally given a proper update after two years where the only new addition was a damn loading bar.

photo mode and deco pikmin are cute small additions, but what i'm most intrigued about is the difficulty options.

even if pikmin 4 isn't my favorite, i still really enjoy the dandori/sage challenges and olimar's shipwreck tale.
they're usually the modes i come back to through a 100% save file if i were to play pikmin 4 without having to commit to a 20 hour time sink in story mode.
